Briefing

The team at Ogilvy Brussels had designed a campaign around re-using old Ikea catalogues and recycling them into Christmas ornaments, in order to promote using their products in an environmentally conscious way. They needed a track that had a lyric around this theme.

Execution

Since the animated video is quite modern-looking and techy, we wanted to create a track that contrasts this explicitly. Together with the team we decided to go for a vintage sound, warm and Christmassy. To top it off, we wrote a new lyric based on the theme of Green Christmas and had the vocal recorded by one of our Affiliate Artists.

Result

Sustainability is key for Ikea. This hero video highlighting the impact of the campaign reached core audiences of Ikea, and the entire campaign was featured in the 58th edition of sustainable quarterly magazine 'Directory'.
