Briefing
Pretty short film directed by Joost Biesheuvel about two young lovers who meet at a masked ball. The briefing for the sound design was simple, yet intricate: little sounds needed to reverb through the storyline, playing around with distance and time.
Execution
This was a classic case of ‘the attention is in the details’. We opted to have more points of contact with the director than usual, as the audio post production really gave this film the extra sparkle.
Result
Following its release, Cats & Dogs was critically acclaimed. It won, among many other awards, Best Short at the Paris international Film Awards and Best Experimental at the L.A. Short Fest.
